Eighteen-year-old Ian and 11-year-old Connor have both been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism.
The Wallaces began to notice that despite his high IQ, Ian had some unusual behaviors, including speaking in what sounded like a British accent.
That's not Asperger's, that's just good taste.
Normally I'm sceptical of a lot of these studies, especially in the US - it seems like we already know a lot about causes - genetic, prenatal testosterone exposure, etc. But this looks to be something really wide-ranging, starting from scratch and trying to assess every possible factor which might have contributed. That sort of study can often turn up new factors you hadn't previously considered. Sounds like a really good thing.
