They're pessimistic about autism, but the guy does have a severely autistic son.

This looks like a nonprofit autism school network or a blueprint for autism schools. He doesn't specify what kind of therapies they utilize or how they admit students. By his language, he seems to discussing a narrow definition of autism. While he does generalize, he is careful to admit that it's the parents that have had to adjust their perception of autistics.

I would have to say that the founders of CAN and Autism Speaks had Autistic kids, look what they're doing.

Still, he sounds better than them.
