Maybe I missed something?, just looked like a young girl tacked some ordinary bubble wrap tp a peice of material that she hung on the wall, because it feels nice and you can pop the bubbles in a safe enviourment.

That was the impression I got too. She said that her idea was to "stimulate people with autism because they like rubbing their hands on things and the noise of the popping things, and that was a really safe way for them [autistic people] to do that.". She said she got the idea because her mom had told her about s story she'd read in which a mom of an autistic kid had made curtains out of bubble wrap for her child.
The contest that the girl is in, for those who couldn't download the video, is to find more uses for bubble wrap. The announcer mentions that bubble wrap was originally invented in the 1950's as a wallpaper. (Who knew?)
