I remember this little girl. :( poor girl. You must be very very careful with children, or anyone really in a pool.

Yeah, it's actually happened a couple of times, before too.

The odd thing about this story is that Chuck Palanhiuk (who wrote Fight Club) wrote a raunchy short story - "Guts" about a guy who died after suffering the same injury as the young girl. He went around the nation reading the short story to crowds. People were regularly passing out or puking because of the story.

I am sad for the young girl who died.
