Actor Heath Ledger found dead

I was just watching the news on tv, and it was reported that Australian actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his home by a maid. No word yet on the cause of his death.

It was reported on www.pagesix.com that it was a drug overdrose....Just recently, Brad Renfro, a young actor also died, probably due to a drug overdose......So sad.. Sets of three,. who will be next, Britney?

At first I thought this was some sort of rumor. Tragic and shocking

There is no way to describe how bummed out I am at his death. He was such a promising actor. And his role as the Joker in the the Dark Knight was and IS going to be one of the best performances in movie history. It was going to be the moment that defined him as one of the best actors of this era. And I'm confident it still be.

It's going to be so sad watching the Dark Knight knowing Heath is dead. It's going to be a great movie and Heath is going to give a kick-ass performance.

I'm sad for him, his daughter, his family and sad for the casts of his previous movies. Sad for the cast of the Dark Knight, who have to help advertise the movie without Heath's presence.

This is truly shocking and sad. I loved his roles in "10 Things I Hate About You," and "Brokeback Mountain. I guess they are saying it was suicide?

Just heard the word this morning.

Leaving aside reports that it is a drug overdose (I want to wait on the police and the coroner before that), it could also have been suicide or an aneurysm.

They're saying now that the apartment that he was found in belongs to Mary-Kate Olsen , and that he was found naked on a bed with a whole bunch of pills around him.

He always looked so melancholy, so sad... I remember whenI first saw him in a medieval -type movie a few years back, his name and face stayed in my memory...

He had so much charisma and talent, a really really rare thing to see these days. He really was the shining light of this generation of actors imo, it's such a horrible, tragic, nasty shock. I feel sick just thinking about it...

Also, it only happened an hour or two ago - some of his family must be hearing about it via the media. How horrendous for them...

I don't really know what to say.

Ohh, and that young daughter of his too - she's only two years old. The poor thing...

I heard about the pills, but that's the first I heard about Mary-Kate.

Now they're mentioning "conflicting reports".
They're now saying that Mary-Kate has said that that's not her apartment. Also, they're saying that Heath was found lying face down on the floor rather on a bed.

Look, let's just wait until all the s**t has died down. There are only two things we can trust here: the police report and the ME's report. In those we trust. All others make it up.

He was such a shining light... I really feel sick. It's such a massive loss to film, he was incredible. Another Aussie son lost.

The Mary-Kate thing was a rumor started by that idiot tabloid blogger Perez Hilton.

I am so shocked. He was one of my favorite actors, and the last I saw of him, he was newly married (or engaged??) with his new baby (this after Brokeback came out)...How sad now!
