I can't believe this. It's one thing to lie about your personal life as a pollie, that I can understand, but if it's a state secret that actual security depends on, that's farcical. Not to mention broken promises.

Maybe someone should suggest a law by which all defence lawyers must admit if their client has confessed to their crime, even if they have entered a not guilty plea.
