It's the worst form, a glioblastoma. He may have less then a year left. :(

They're just now diagnosing that? I thought - Oh, no, that was soul cancer...he's been living with that for years...

Encephalocarcinoma topic

This is tragic. :( One of my uncles was diagnosed with this form of cancer and despite all the treatment and surgery he died within six months of the diagnosis. In fact he died on my fortieth birthday. :(

I hope it is a comfort to the Kennedy relatives that he will receive the best of care and that there are new therapies and medications, both for treatment and pain associated with malignant gliomas.

Hmm. Brain cancer isn't usually an optimistic prognosis. Too bad for Sr. Kennedy.

At least he'll live to a ripe old age.

Even though I'm not a big fan of Sen. Kennedy my prayers do definitely go out to him and his family during this time.

Though I've hated this man and his politics for years, I would not have wished this upon him. Now a career ending, embarrassing scandal, I've wished that upon him many times...

That was very Nice Avengilante, wasn't very compassionate, I hope
it doesn't happen to you or your family. I have had 1 aunt die of this
type of cancer, and 2 others die in the in December and February this
past year, both of the were bone and breast cancer, its not a nice way
to die, I only hope senator Kennedy doesn't suffer.

A friend of mine lost her mom to that type of cancer, and it's not a fun way to die.

Having had two brains tumors myself, I wouldn't wish it on anybody. But sometimes you survive, who knows why. I wish him the best.

they said that with even the best treatment he was five years. As a regestired Democrat and a resident of the state where his son Patrick represents us in Congress it comes really close to home.

(When I wrote this I had some serious Deja Vu and left out a chunk of what I was gonna write).
