Web Photos Come Back to Bite Defendants
I certainly can't complain about the harsher sentances given to people who are choosing to drive drunk. I know too many people who will do it until either they get themselves killed, get someone else killed, or are too old to drive, whatever comes first. Hopefully the last. However pictures can be taken quite out of context. They only picture of myself that is still posted on facebook is me out drinking with friends... something I have done only once in the last 3 years due to my hatred of it. Most pictures on these types of sites are of when a person went "out" and most of the time they will be having fun and usually drinking. Even if it is usually a responsible person who really did make one stupid mistake, anyone could paint a picture of them being irresponsible drunks.
Humm, I guess I'm kind of split on my feelings of the situation...

Opinions?
This was in the local paper a couple of days ago.
Somehow, stuff like this doesn't surprise me anymore. Just mainly because of the fact that if they want to show what they did, they can. Though my school (I'm in college) has rules about that, so there are a lot of things not posted) regulates that sort of. They see it as showing off their social stature if they have a picture of them with a beer in hand at a party they went to the night before.
A lot of schools, (most private that are strict at least...some public that I know of) have people who monitor this, be it administrators or teachers (half or more of the profs at my college have facebook....) and it's going to bite the student back, when they get called in Monday morning and have to explain why there is a picture of them half naked and drunk in a picture doing something outlandish or stupid, or both.
