W.Pa. woman accused of falsely claiming newborn as her own charged with homicide, kidnapping

What makes this even more incredible is that she was sent to prison in the past for stealing someone else's baby...

A woman desperate to have a kid of her own. She should have gone for adoption.

Unfortunately, her history and apparent instability would have ruled out any chance of her adopting... I consider this to be a failure of the mental health system... the authorities were more concerned with punishing her than treating her psychosis...

Adoption is a lot harder than you think. Your background is checked, and there's a host of reasons to deny you.

horrible thing to do. that poor woman and child. i hope the kid is not damaged as a result of this (as in i hope it does not end up with illnesses because a woman was extremely desperate for a kid)

For want of a baby, women do some pretty awful things. This is what happens when that maternal instinct gets twisted.

The sad thing about this is, it is more common then we think, murder and fetus theft happens a few times a year.... what drives people to do this is beyond me.

Fetus-theft. That means the abductor cannot wait for the baby to come out of the womb before abducting it. This is why women scare me, this and eating-disorders, abusive relationships, post-partum depression ...

She could have just bought a pet.

I meant if she wants a kid so badly, she should have never cut babies out of women stomachs in the first place.
