50 cents makes fun of an autistic adult describing his AS behavior as "being high".

Very sickening. I would bet 50 Cent's fans will probably defend this crap somehow.

I hate 50 Cent's music, crappy rap that is sexist, racist and just vulgar nonsense.

It seems that 50 Cent has now made an apology for the incident and donated $100,000 to Autism Speaks.

Hopefully he'll learn from this mistake and be kinder in the future.

He didn't learn from his mistake donating to A$.

Then again, I don't expect much from a dumb rapper in which nails on a chalkboard sound better than his "music".

It was nice of him to donate, but I doubt he learned much. Celebrities do stuff bad all the time and instantly just think money makes it all better :(

My first thought was how sad it was that his donation went to Autism Speaks. My second thought was that he wouldn't know how the autism community feels about A$, so I can't really blame him for it.

My best guess is that his lawyer told him to make the donation or face a possible lawsuit. I have my doubts that 50 cent came to the decision himself.

It honestly never occurs to me, to tell strangers I have ASD, in expectation of getting protected status.

If the employer is actually given a subsidy for hiring you, which makes you a quota case, he is simply going to ask whether you require 'reasonable accommodations' (which do not create an inconvenience.)

In casual labor, most everyone has a sob story or impediment, so it may be discouraged, for the sake of morale.

I realize that people shouldn't overstate their abilities, but, in business, it is generally best to appear invulnerable.

I also didn't understand why you expected to be afforded dignity, by a criminal subculture, perhaps along the lines of a viking, pirate, or cartoon character in black mask.

Not a fan but 50 cents never claimed he is a rocket scientist
He thought (ignorantly) the airport worker was high on drugs
When his mistake was pointed out out he tried (to his credit) to rectify things
I sense some underlying hostility toward 50c for who he is rather than what he did.

Same sought of ignorance (ironically) that many of you want to remove from wider society...

According to the article the Farrell family asked him to donate $ 10 000 to Autism Speaks, so there was no reason for him to think it would be anything controversial about it.
