My lord this guy makes George W. Bush look like the next Einstein and we all know how much of a stupid, idiotic, moronic, dingbat he is. The fight against global warming has been going on for years, and the evidence is growing that we are getting close walking right into Satan Lucifer's throne room.

That right there is the best evidence I can give you that the argument for man made Global Warming has taken on religious stature...

like a religion, it is a belief that can not be proven nor disproven... it requires a leap of faith akin to what occurs in many religions... and the people who believe in it will be swayed neither by argument nor evidence to the contrary...

Apparently whatever displaces a religion becomes one itself.

Sammy is right, global warming is as natural as global cooling.Theres are lot of ex communists in the west who hope that they have found a new reason why individual liberties should be stamped on by the jackboot of Big Brother.

I live in Canada and I have seen signs that the climate has changed in the past 20 years, most people who live south of the 49 parallel don't notice.

The ice on neptune and mars are melting, so this natural climate change isn't necessarily due to greenhouse gases.. there's definately pollution in the air but i doubt it's causing the ice caps to melt

it musta been a different planet then.. i just assumed it was the two planets closest to the sun. Ill feel dumb if Neptune isn't close to the sun now

but either way, it was mars and a different planet. Perhaps a moon even.

Ice on Mars doesn't melt, it sublimates into vapor, because its nearly a vacuum.

I saw an article the other day (have to look it up again) that said for the past month there have been no sunspots. It's theorized that this means the sun is entering a cooling phase, so this winter should tell the tale ...

Neptune is second farthest from the sun, the only planet farther is Pluto... and I believe I read something once that said that Neptune's orbit takes it farther from the sun than Pluto, on occasion.

Also, the ice on mars has only recently been discovered, so it couldn't be mars that has the melting polar ice... I'd be interested in reading that article, whatever the planet...

That there is ice in the caps is not recent news. I have a book from the 80s which describes the caps as a mix of water ice and dry ice, IIRC. And Pluto isn't a planet. :P

Either way it wouldn't matter. The caps have been long known, and could be used as evidence for climate change of Mars.

Ya, that national geographic link credited data from a 2005 probe for that mars info...
