It seems like a cute story and even if by some miracle the dolphins survived it is hardly a good idea to set the pecident that non specialists should be doing whatever they think will fix a problem in nature because they end up agrivating the situation.
Well that's extremely negative and depressing.

and they didn't "drag" any of them. All of them but one followed the boat out to the water. One one was put on a harness, and that was because he was too weak to swim himself.
