Rhode Islands christmas tree died when someone put stuff on it that keeps it from burning down.

That really sucks.

They are getting a fake tree? How??

Are they going to cut down the real one?! !!

Why not just put fake needles on the real tree?

I heard about this. I'm assuming the tree was dead (cut) already and this just hastened its decay...

Nevertheless, I find this hilarious, the way it was put, "apparently, the spray killed the tree." Said in a totally deadpan voice by the announcer.

Hope it stays true to tradition rather than contemperary then,traditional looks far better.
In Manchester town centre (Englands' Manchester) a few years ago,they replaced ours with a disgusting cone thing,that wasn't a tree.
