the article mentions that it's legal to possess:

5 grams of marijuana
0.5 grams of cocaine
2 grams of opium
50 miligrams of heroine
0.015 milligrams of LSD
40 grams of methanfetamines
40 milligrams of MDA
40 milligrams of MDMA (extasis)

Maybe this is a different approach to dealing with their drug gang wars down there? Legalize it and there won't be so much income for the illegal drug gangs? But the gangs will still get lots of money from sending the drugs up to the US, so I dunno.

Drugs is legal in most places, like painkillers, they are legal in many countries, if you have the right paperwork.

In other news, most drugs was NOT made legal back in 2006 in Mexico. The same can be said for the US, I guess.

The question that we all want to know the answer to reamains, however. Will "most drugs" be made legal in Mexico in 2011 or 2015? We can only wait and see.
