LSE evolutionary psychologist Satoshi Kanazawa has reported some controversial finding on the topic of attraction.

According to this study, black women scored lower on attraction compared to their white counterparts.

It only takes a few people like him to discredit the entire field of evolutionary psychology in the eyes of the public.

He's also putting a smear on the reputation of LSE.

That is substantiated. Similar research was being done in America at one point, but it became politically correct in the early to mid '60s and was abandoned even though it's purpose was to develop better education techniques for them.

I have read his article and readers need to understand that Kanazawa is a professional trouble maker.

His recent diatribe has been taken down by Psychology Today not because of it's inflammatory claim but because of it's rather poor science.

Even 1st year psych students know that facial symmetry is an indicator of good health in an individual. This positive pattern recognition crosses all ethnic groups and is biologically programmed in all humans when attempting to locate a prospective healthy mate.

Kanazawa's hypothesis is flawed because robust skull morphology and facial features is not exclusive to any one group and neither is gracile skull forms. Kanazawa is using phenology and connecting spuriously the use of hormone levels to justify his latest pet theory.

Kanazawa (putting it mildly) is a disgrace to psychology as he is falling the very attributes and stereotypes psychologists recognise in racist ingroups and is unfortunately passing it off as science.

I am pretty sure attractivness is a personal preference I do not think there is a scientific way to messure somones attractivness. Yes to some white women might be more attractive then black women but that's not science that is a personal preferance so yeah this guy is a joke I would assume

Wait, so you put a survey directed tword women about women and which is more beautiful and you expect them to tell the truth? What the funniest part of all of this is the ONLY possible explination is that "black chicks gots more testosterone1!! !!". It couldn't possibly be that the media reflects whites as more attractive then blacks. 16% of super models in NY's Fashion Week where "of color" (can't link findings but google 'what percent of super models are white'. One could make the argument that it backs his findings, but have you seen fashion? These people take a dump on their heads, and all of a sudden the mass's are wearing crap-hats.

Further more the study is only relative to that region. Attraction differs vastly by culture, area, influences, icons, etc. And did anyone notice that the highest scoring was asians.....what race is Satoshi Kanazawa again?

It means 84% are white. It's purely market driven, not racist. Affirmative action supermodels are not profitable.

I agree, I think Kanazawa's attribution of "attractiveness" is sourced from his unsophisticated projection from media representation which is traditionally a white domain since the invention of the printing press and television. Familiarity breeds comfort and we males are generally more comfortable seeing a blonde haired model advertising products. So commercially companies want Taylor Swift selling their clothes rather than Beyonce because the majority of customers want the look that they can imagine for themselves. Apart from fashion, this includes cosmetics, art and music.

I guess the tendency of so many white men in America to think they're above everyone else and that all people browner than khaki should bow to their infinite wisdom could explain a ton of behavior patterns as well.

Except Kanazawa is Japanese and given the way orientals were treated in western countries he should know better.
