There is actually a town in France called "Montcul" (which pronounced in french , sounds as if you were saying "my ass", the t is silent btw).

A few months ago there was a thread about a town that was removing or changing offensive place names and road signs...Might have to do a little "necro-surfing " to find it...

There's a road called High Back Side near where I live!

I live quite near Wetwang, LOL, I wanna go there!

LOL at 4 Corfe Close, but you'd have to have a really posh accent to pronounced "**** off" that way!

Oh... it took me several attempts to work that one out!

There is a funny named town quite near to Milton Keynes (although that name is so weird it makes me laugh!) It is a village called Willy. I've also heard of a town called Bell End!

Websites for people and businesses in Scunthorpe used to fall foul of filters and used to get blocked.

In Manchester, the gay village is centred around Canal Street, and some wag amended the sign to delete the initial letters, so it said " anal treet".

Then of course, there's the famous village in Austria who's sign keeps getting stolen by British and Yank tourists:

The sign below reminds people to obey the speed limits, but also adds further humor to the town's sign on account of the fact that it translates to "Please - not so fast!"

There are some funny town names in Pennsylvania, such as Beaver Falls, Intercourse, and Blue Ball.

i have heard of a village called Lunt (or something similar) in the UK somewhere that was trying to bring about a name change because people were vandalising the entrance sign by changing the L to a C.
