If stimming is what you do when you get mad (repetitively), then I like to
***Ride my bike randomly
Pace around the room
***Use sign language
Click my fingers
Tap
Jump up and down
Do stretches
Sit down
Touch the wall
Hit something (floor, wall, etc)
Break wooden pencils (that really feels good, and is a hard habit to break)
Grind my teeth
Bite my cheek
Rub my hands together
Swing my arms
Itch my head
Bounce my leg in my chair
Type whatever really fast
Go for a run
***Go for a walk outside and pace
But my biggest 3 have stars by them
wow! I think i would do sign language as stimming if i knew how. I am learning tho. It seems way more awesome than English. Much more expressive.
And as for what i do -
I used to stim by flapping my hands.
And now i dont stim like that.. due to pressures from society ive learned to stop...
But i will pace a lot. I do this on the phone so i can think, and i do it around the house just to stimulate myself and relieve stresss..
Since i live in a small, cluttered apartment with my mom, it tends to make her anxious. (she has issues as well - possible AS. )
But i used to draw a lot too. Weird stuff. Like weurder than tim burton.... Kinda like Burton if he was on mindaltering substances. Lol
but yeah. I read books on cults to pass time, and find that fascinating to do.
And i love to play with cards.
