I've never had an NT friend in my life. Most of my friends have Asperger's, Autism or ADHD.

I think it is. Most of my friends are AS because I joined an autism group. But they're really nice and cool people. I've got 2 NT friends and they're really nice also.

None of my friends have AS, although many of them don't fit in with the typical high school student. There is only one other kid in my school that I know has AS, and we're in completely different social circles, most of his friends also being NT.

As the only autistic girl in my school, it is kinda hard not to have NT friends.

As far as I know, all my friends are NTs (exept a guy, who's dyslexic), even though most of them are odd.
My best friend looks like someone with social anxiety/ OCD/ depression at times.
One of my friend has anxiety issues, that can be quite severe at times, but she's not diagnosed with GAD.
The others are odd, but they don't look like having a mental disorder.

well i guess my friends are mostly NTs however the 4 people that i have gotten closest to all have are a bit odd/ not NT.
Friend #1: Dyslectic. Had only 2 friends besides me. Started drinking when he was like 11 and later came in contact with drugs. Seemed to love random facts and had some wierd interests. He moved to another country 4 years ago and i havent met him in like 2 years.
Friend #2: ADHD. had problems with depression and started self-harming when she was 9 or 10. Now she seems to be doing ok and im really happy for her. Unfortunatly we are far from as close as we used to be.
Friend #3: No confirmed diagnosis that she is not NT but she have problems with anxiety and used to have an eating dissorder. Got a bad case of Lyme Disease and is still suffering from the aftermath so she is not really functioning well because of that.
Friend #4: Aspie and epileptic (well the doctors are not quite sure but she sometimes get some kind of seizures or something where she gets completely paralyzed.)

They are the people that i have connected the best with and understood the most while they also seemed/seems to understand me.

I'm not picky about friends... all they really need is to be nice, funny and have things in common with me. Bonus points if they speak Japanese. Most of my friends don't know I have AS anyway... and I'd rather keep it that way, because if I told them I know they'd stop seeing me as Yayoi and start seeing me as "that weird girl with issues". I try my hardest to fit in without losing myself, and not telling people about my diagnosis is one way. Only my teachers and really close friends know.
