I hate them about as much as any other clique really. My school would be slightly better though if all the preps/jocks were replaced with emos. At least they don't laugh at you when you answer a question in class.

They annoy me because they turn things like depression into fashion accessories. And their music is horrible.

I judge on a person to person basis.

I can't stand the whole anti-emo thing! I'm NOT emo myself but at least I have the sense to respect people who are different to me! Honestly everyone they cop too much s**t from everyone, they cop to much s**t from teenyboppers for having a style other than preppy, and they cop too much s**t from the majority of Goths and metalheads because they "non-conform by dressing like everybody else" honestly you think they'd notice that Goths dress alike, punks dress alike, metalheads dress alike, rivetheads dress alike, preps dress alike and so on and so forth, every group is just a collection of similar ideas, and there's nothing wrong with that.

about 30 of them have turned up in the junior part of my school and it makes me angry because a. they look stupid and b. they think its alternative when there are about as many of them as there are of the other groups

*sigh* it's nice to see you are so open minded to other people and their tastes (NOT!!)
Honestly, we get all pissy when NTs disrespect aspies just for being aspies, so it pisses me off that you're disrespecting emos just for being emos! If you're gonna b***h about emos, then stop whining when NTs b***h about you CUZ IT'S THE SAME PRINCIPAL!

Of all the people in the world, you'd think we'd be the ones who didn't jump to judge people for their lifestyle, appearance or the way they are.

Emos can piss me off because some pretend to be depressed. That's what I don't like. Who the f**k would want to be depressed? It's NOT cool. It's awful damnit.

Yeah, I can't believe I'm already finding posts from hypocritical aspies on this site. If you hate emos, then don't say anything at all to them. You should never ever pick on people unless they pick on you first. Let people be whatever the #$%@ they want, and mind your own buisiness.

I could never judge a person based on what group he/she is from. All i care about is how nice the person is. I can't assume this by knowing what his/her group identity is. Yeah, I've been botherd by a few preps, and some have asked me sick questions like "Do you shave your ******" or "What is your bra size." I often overhear them talking about reproductive body parts, too. But guess what, not all preps are like that. Many of them are quite fascinated by my unique number language (probably because it contains translations of their kinds of words). And i have a friend who appears to be emo, but he is a nice person that's fun to sit next to in class. He sometimes looks depressed when clearly he's not, but that's not a bad thing. As long as he's not actually depressed, lol. Otherwise, I'd do all i can to help him, rather than be an ass to him and make him more depressed to the point he'll commit suicide.

i repeat, I would never ever make generalizations on any one particular group.

I have an Emo kipping in my house at the moment. He does not dress the way he does as a fashion statement - it IS how he feels inside. When I asked him how he thought of the world, he said he saw everything in emotion first. He suffers terrible depression, and really does suffer. Emo is an emotional state of mind. If you cannot accept someones state of mind/way of thinking you do your fellow WP a diservice as that is essentially what this place is about. People who think differently to others with very few being able to understand it!

the emos i see are usually only distinguishable because of the black and the fringe i dont think there style is really that far from the mainstream and that is why i dont like it being called a subculture
