Smoking is extremely bad for u. It doesn't help u fit in--most people don't smoke. It doesn't make u look cool--it makes u look gross, because smoking is gross. It turns ur teeth yellow. It makes ur breath and ur clothes smell. I try to stand about 10 feet away from smokers.

I have never smoked, and I dislike seeing others do it. It's a dumb and self-destructive activity, and no-one should do it, but if they choose by their own free will to destroy their own lungs and waste money in the process, what can I do?

People will probably like u less, not more, if u smoke.

Smoking is a bad habit to get into, but it doesn't matter what the governments do, they'll never be able to stop people from smoking. They can't even stop teenagers from buying cigarettes; there are shops where I live, that sell cigarettes and other tobacco products to minors. I also don't think tobacco should ever be banned. People should have the right to put whichever substances they want into their bodies.

My mom used to, my aunt does, it's extremely bothersome to me. My own saying is, "Don't put anything in your mouth unless you're going to eat it." (I've been known to swallow gum ) To me it's a big waste of money that turns your teeth yellow and makes your clothes stink, your house stink, and leaves nasty residue over time on the walls. I see no benefit whatsoever, I mean it doesn't give people a rush feeling like a rollercoaster would, it just blocks your lungs and decays your teeth. i pity the addicts, i mean with the money they waste on that they could have saved and used to buy a new TV or furniture or went on a vacation or something. Sorry I have such a strong opinion but geez...

If you think you're only harming yourself by smoking, you're not. You might be making other people want to smoke. Even if you already started smoking, you can quit.

There's no such thing as "old enough to smoke." Smoking is legal if you're 18 or older, but that doesn't mean it's safe.

I only smoked for the 4 months I was in college, it felt so cool hanging out of a mate's dorm window seeing the girls looking at us and giving us a little smile. I quit when I left because it was a waste of money and I wasn't really smoking them properly anyway, hence the way I gave it up - just like that. I wasn't hooked.

i love em and i hate em. but mostly i love em. i smoke 15 cigs a day or so. sometimes more.

Smoking is awful. If you smoke, you should definitely stop. If you don't smoke, don't start. If you smoke and never stop, you could die from heart disease before you're even 70.
