Do you always feel like your immature?

Not always. I seem to jump between being immature and over mature, though I wouldn't say I often manage the maturity appropriate to my age. Some of the time I feel incredibly immature compared to my friends, in terms of sense of humour, what I say, how I react to things and so on. But when I actually think about something, I find the level I am thinking about it often to be far more mature then other people I know.

I was really immature as a child. I was hyper and made "baby talk". but then I would impress adults with this unique little mind and keen ability to engage a conversation with them -I still believe it was more of a child-like charm than a hidden bit of maturity.
Through highschool and even ow in college, I am put through a double standard on myself . I am known for being innocent, naive, inexperienced... and I use that persona to my advantage on occasion though. I know how to marry it in with my humour. I can say something silly and get a good laugh because it is just too good coming from me. My teammates fluttered around me and were more excited thann usual when I told them about my first date. I specifically remember one of the throwers saying "I'm sure your date was so innocent. Our dates..." she gestured toward her friends, "...they're not so innocent." And they were estastic when they found out that he asked me to be his girlfriend (I said yes ) But then I turn around with these statements that put the 'wise and mature' card on me. I at least know that I'm not as mature as I could think I am, and as one friend said, that is a mark of maturity in itself.

i have one friend who notices my immaturity well, she tells me when im being immature and i see it as a help because now im 18, ive got more responsibilities and she makes sure i dont mess up in front of the wrong people

I can relate to pretty much all of it, btw you do look like your age in my opinion.

I can say at the very least that it is definitely much easier to get along with the much younger kids than it is with teens. I feel immature when it comes to almost everything about myself except for areas of special interest and the fact that I'm not as "Loud" as the other kids.

Weird, I am completely opposite, I get on better with adults generally.

Yes, I feel like I make so many dumb mistakes and I don't understand people well enough.

well, I guess I have to say that, to me, i seem more mature than teens my age because i think they are silly, into makeup, boys/girls dating, i think that's all wierd.
I am very quiet and do not like to talk to people my age, or older. I don't mind talking to like 7 & under kids or say, grandparents who are over 80.
I don't try to dress, look, or act like teens my age. Yuck. Why waste my time?

Depends on what you consider immature. I'm 17 in two weeks, but I have no interest in boyfriends, sex or clothing, and I like reading comic books. In another way, I am much more mature than a lot of adults, when it comes to all sorts of knowledge; I've red hundreds of books, and I'm very developed in my philosophy, and acting with my philosophy. These things make me unpopular; I'm not what teenagers expect me to be. And I can't talk about disco's and clubs, I resent them. I like Mozart more.

Well, I can relate to people who are younger than me just as well as I can relate to people who are older. It all depends on the personality of the person. I like silly people, but I also like someone open-minded that can keep up an interesting or serious conversation.

Anyway, I don't believe that maturity is a matter of how you dress or what are the things that you're interested in. I believe it's more to do with the way you think, the way you face life and the way you solve your problems.

Definitely! I Never tell anyone my real age because I feel like a 10 year old stuck in an older girl's body. (sort of... I don't really look my age either, I look about 12) I have no interest in dating, make up, dances, etc. that other teen girls like, I'd rather play dolls or watch Disney Channel. I've always had friends way younger than me. For example, in middle school, all my friends were in elementary school. People my age treat me terribly. I've been picked on & bullied since I started school. Adults don't seem to like me much either. Since I just recently moved, I don't have any friends at all.

I'm 18, and act more like 12, but look more like 16.

I'd rather watch anime than get a job or a driver's license, really. But it's something that I just have to do.

Only when I get really obsessed with something and don't shut up. Later I feel like I should have never said anything about it. For example I always seem to be talking about computers, and I always wish I hadn't said anything because I sound like I'm five and have just learned to tie my shoes to anyone around. This probably was irrelevant and I'm probably wasting server space by posting it, sorry if this wasn't what you were looking for as an answer.
