My first sexual relationship started when I was about 15. We had been dating for a little more than a month or so and were beginning to really develop deep feelings for each other, and it just kind of came up one day. We talked about it for awhile, and eventually it came to a point where we decided we were both ready, and that we trusted and cared about each other enough to make it work. We went out for about 8 more months, and then she moved fairly far away. We still dated for another 4 months, but school and work started up and it began to become too hard to keep in contact often. Eventually, we just kind of agreed that it was too painful seeing each other so little, and having no real promise of things being able to pick up again for at least a year. I got amazingly lucky with that relationship, though. All the horror stories I hear about where someone's first sexual relationship was extremely manipulative or abusive etc, and I got a really amazing girl whom was one of the only people I've ever trusted fully.
