whops i checked but i dident see one, we need a search thing those are cool

Yeah, it was awhile ago. I thought it was in this board, but I may be wrong. Like I said, it doesn't really matter. This thread turned out to be more controversial than the last.

Oh, and we do have a search thing. It's on the left side, underneath the ad and the people online. It's easy to miss. :)

I agree. This whole argument is stupid because "emo" is just another dumb fad which will fade away in a few years just like glam metal or boy bands. Let's just agree to disagree on this matter.

Yes, yes. Very true. But I do like glam metal. :D

Sure Todd489, having an opinion is great and good - go for it. But when your opinion is contrary to another person's, that doesn't give you the right to be a sarcastic prick about it. Fine, you don't like emo's, we get it, there's no need to be rude.

Thank you for pointing that out, but I'm afraid I already fully realize that I'm a sardonic, venomous bastard. I just don't really care because it's the internet and it's stupid. Also, I honestly don't care if everyone else likes emos. That's their opinion, and I respect that (even though I vehemently disagree.) If I knew everyone was going to be so ultra-sensitive about their opinions on a stupid teeny-bopper fad, then I never would've posted here. Reading through the thread, you'd think we were talking about abortion or the death penalty or something. It's a stupid argument about a stupid thing. Grow some skin already.

Also, sorry if I came off as a "sarcastic prick," but that's just in my nature. See, everyone on my mother's side of the family was sarcastic, and everyone on my father's side of the family were pricks. It's just in my genes.

No, but it's a way of behaving, a way of seeing the world and a way of doing things.

Actually it's just a way for pathetic, talentless man-boys to get into an unattractive girl's pants by pretending to have feelings. Now, I'm not sure if you're a teenager who attends high school. If not, then I'm sorry to inform you that in this ridiculously sex-obsessed day and age virtually everything NT teenagers do is just a part of their master plan to get laid. I'm very sorry if you hadn't realized this by now.

Perhaps a bit more constructively next time?

I'm afraid I don't see how ignoring something that really bothers me and letting it eat away at my mind is constructive. See, I have a little thing called Asperger Syndrome. Part of that particular ailment is obsessing about things. Since I really have nothing better to think about, I tend to rant incessantly about a particular problem in my head from time to time, be it a large-scale political issue or a stupid teenager thing. Sometimes my ranting pours out of my fingers and into the internet, which is most unfortunate for everyone. To learn more about Asperger Syndrome and the miserable cynics like myself it can produce, go to www.wrongplanet.net. That's a great website full of fun and interesting people and a few sarcastic pricks.

I don't hate all emos, just the ones I know.
Some people get cool emos, I just get the dregs at the bottom of the barrel. :?

I totally respect their opinions, if they like that music then fair enough, not everyone likes the music I do, but I think I'd get pretty peed off if someone slagged it off for no reason. It's all down to opinion at the end of the day.

But the emos and "scene kids" I tend to meet are all the same. They all seem to think that because they listen to emo music, they have to dress emo and act emo at all times. If they want to be sheep and do that, then I'm more than happy to, but most of the time they slag me off and kind of, look down on me, because I don't do that. I wear what I want and listen to what I want, and if they're different, so be it. I won't do anything I don't want to just because other people are into it, but to them that's weird.

Emos are basically popular kids that aren't popular.
If you know what I mean.

I don't care if people wear emo clothes, they certainly look better to me than some of the stuff that was trendy when I was in high school. Also I have an overall apathy towards what music other people choose to listen to, because I hate music snobs and people should just listen to what sounds good to them.

However, I can't stand people who act as if writing a whiny blog and being evasive about what you're whining about, makes them artsy somehow. It doesn't make you artsy, it makes you confusing and whiny.

I see no reason to lock this thread at this point. People are simply debating from what I can see.

2.Mitch8817 is right, emos are a small fraction of teenagers, the majority are MTV-worshipping hypocrite degenerates.

Unless you're completely devoid of personality (which may be the case idk), being part of a minority doesn't make you stand out nearly as much as being yourself. Individualism is about the only thing MTV hasn't capitalized on and turned into a bloody fad. One day they probably will, though. In the future kids will go around calling each other "indivies" just like "goths" or "jocks," because that's how stupid people are.

I don't recall stating that you did. I was commenting on Mitch's post.
