The feeling of loneliness

I've got a one friend who I think I'm very close to and I used to be able to talk to him about anything. But now, he's changed and only interested in talking about himself and just dismisses everything I have to say. For me, a good friend is someone I can be myself with and someone who listen to me. But most of my usual friends only know this side of me that's all happy and I'm really sick of it. I just can't seem to find anyone who I can be myself with... Does anyone else feel the same way?

All the damn time! And I'm told not to take everything so personally (my feelings apparently don't matter and I'm not allowed to have them in the first place).

I have the same problem and i hate it, i fele like i cant talk to anyone about my feelings or what i think about society and stuff, everyone just says im an overeccentric geek and just tune out everything i say and it makes me so mad, i feel like being myself isnt good enough for them, hey, you know if you ever have anything on your mind or need to blow off steam i usually try and be a good listener so if you want feel free to PM me since i wouldnt mind talking to someone myself

Feel the same way, especially now that the few peoplei could really open up to are so far away and very busy. Closest form of release I have is in music now.

It's quite sad really, to think that there're some people who would do anything to have some company and there're some who just don't appreciate what they've got. Everyone need a some sort of companion.. I really hope you find that special person who you can be yourself with!

I haven't felt lonely in a long time. If anything, I need much more time to myself.

Ever since i took work shifts on friday and saterday night... ive pretty much never got anyone to hang out with... like i finish really early and my friends and I all live within like 200 meters of my workplace... which pizza cafe... and none of them ever bother to tell me whats happening then wonder why i never seem to magically tune into their brainwaves and somehow find where they went off to...

If i am ever with them i get sh!t for being lazy or slack because i chose to work when i do specifically so i can fit a surf in during the day... or just get sh!t in general i dont know what its always directed at me... like i go visit them at while they are at work to tell them whats happening when they finish... so yes... im very familiar with the feeling of loneliness... only have about 2 or 3 real friends and i get pushed around enough at work... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i should post this in a rant thread got carried away...

I have no one in real life who can properly understand the real "me". Sometimes I think my definition of 'properly understand' is 'sympathize for and think I'm perfect', but I know that's wrong. I just... Really don't like it when people tell me I'm wrong for believing in what I do, or trying to do good things and not do bad things.

Back to loneliness. Even the people I meet online, if there's a connection, it's still... Hard. I don't get a hug, or a hand on the shoulder, and it just doesn't feel as whole as it would in real life. There's no one I know that understands me, and it's a very lonely feeling.

In terms of speaking, I'm no longer lonely. I have an entire website of people who can relate to what I'm feeling at a certain moment.

As for the physical aspect, I'd love a good hug once in awhile.
