I searched and searched all over the internet to try and find a place where Aspie kids, tweens and teens could interact with each other. My son has Aspergers, and he's at an age where he wants to find others "like him". My search has lead me here, to Kids' Crater and Teens. That is the only resource I could find. I found just about everything else, mostly geared directly towards adults with Asperger's or their parents.
So, I set up ASpenpal. It's a yahoo group where kids/tweens/teens can "talk" online in group email format.
Right now we're in our "infant" stage. Just getting it started, but as of today, we have 14 members! Yay. If you're interested you can search yahoo groups for ASpenpal, or contact me at [email protected].

I thought that was sort of what this whole thing was for. Proved me wrong.

Well, as I said, I haven't found any place other than here, and specifically no email groups.
Some people aren't as comfortable posting on a board as they are via emails. I've found this particularly so with my son. I did show him this site, but I think it was a bit intimidating for him right now. Email is something he's familiar with.
So, I was looking to provide another option for those who are interested.
Right now we have 16 members, and most of them are communicating with other Aspies for the first time.
If it's something you or others would be interested in, in addition to this or other forums, please look us up!

I'd like to sign up, but be aware that I have executive dysfunction and will likely forget about this whole thing if we go too long without emailing each other.
