For teens: how do you recognize flirting?

Just wondering, based on your experiences.

Another question: if you flirt, how do you do that?

I TRY to use several techniques to flirt, and each of them depends on the person's personality.
I also read a lot of psychology and neurology journals and publications to help me, but sometimes i just get tired of trying and just give up, i only tend to fit in with other aspies.
In the end, no matter how hard you try to fit the Nt's criteria for flirting, you'll just want to be yourself

What about with aspies? Their style of flirting?

Flirting? Never done it
It's hard to distinguish from a normal conversation too, because I guess flirting is 90% non verbal anyway.

Usually after hearing "Ariel! I'm flirting with you! Are you that clueless?" the third time I recognize it.

Im hopeless at picking up on flirting...

and doing it... being blunt has worked better for me anyay...

I don't pick it up at all. Always flies over my head.

I don't even realize someone has tried it on me until someone explicitly tells me that someone just tried it on me. I'd go through life not knowing that flirting even existed if people didn't tell me.

Most aspies have no idea on how to flirt or recognize flirt, however 2 aspies tend to understand each other as we apply logical responses for expressing ourselves.

cause facebook isnt enough for us , after all, everyone need a little ora in their life , my flirting style tends to be a mixture of poetical phrases and compliments, with a dash of teasing here and there. atleast i think thats what its like, i dunno i never really thought about how i flirt i usually just do it

I barely even know what flirting is. I don't think I could recognize it. I know for an absolute fact that I cannot do it (intentionally, at least).

I look for nonverbal cues if someone says something that seems unusual and I think I can usually tell when someone's flirting, I wouldn't feel comfortable trying to flirt with anyone though.

I used trial and error to learn how really lol. I copied what I saw in others and repeated this until I found out what worked/didn't work. Girls like compliments, as well as to talk about their friends. I've also noticed that pretending to care in some of their daily "interests", when you would rather be talking about something else entirely; works wonders.

My current girlfriend has taught me body signs by simply interacting. I can pick up on flirts from others in about 5-10 min time, and can pick up on hers immediately as I have seen them many times.

Generally I am not the best at flirting, other than simply saying kind things that girls generically like to hear lol. Many of the times they find it cute in the "Shy-Guy Approach".

This is really all I know on the topic haha. I learn as I go, a boyfriend/girlfriend is a great help since you really have to do it all from personal experience!
