interact with adults rather than peers? I generally find them more accepting of differences, I find that my peers are more likely to want me to be exactly like them. If I do interact with my peers, I prefer it to a small number at once or a larger group with a higher kid to adult ratio. (3:1 would be better than 6:1 for example)

I have an explanation and I call it one of the Ivanoff Hypotheses, named after me! One of them is a bell curve, which means that you have better interactions and relations with people farther away from your own immediate age group. Basically, expect to have almost no. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rules.

I'm 20, so I did not respond to the poll, but I still get along better with people who are slightly older or younger than me. I think the thing is that people who aren't in your own age group tend to compare you to themselves less and don't find as much stuff wrong with you.

Yes, I feel much more comfortable around older people and I can actually have an interesting conversation.

It depends. I played with older children when I was younger (ex. my best friend and neighbor was in 5th grade when I was in 1st), but I find unfamiliar adults hard to talk to.

I have friends my own age, sure, but I definitely prefer interacting with adults. They seem to be more accepting of my painful shyness. :)

Any peer interaction is a catastrophic failure waiting to happen.

I find it easier to interact with adults because they have less of the emotional ups and downs that teens do.

My peers: Judgemental, immature, and boring
Adults: Mature, understanding, and interesting (mostly adults 25+)
