Happy Birthday, ConfusedDude!

My 16th birthday was depressing.

I called mine a "sour sixteen" since guys are sour and girls are sweet.

My 16th birthday sucked. I had an upper respiratory infection that lasted the entire month. It was as bad as the flu, if not worse.

But, I will say that the 16th year of my life wasn't too bad.

I don't see the point in celebrating your sixteenth birthday... Or any birthday. It's just another day.

I do the same thing every birthday and my 16th was no different. I honestly don't get why people think they should have super-special celebrations for their 16th. I know it's an important age because - at least in the UK - you become almost an adult in that you can get married and, most importantly, you're legal (:P), but I still don't get the excessive obsession over what party you have.

My 16th was last January. I asked my mom to plan a party, but make everything a surprise. We had the party at my house, on a Sunday afternoon and she invited some people that I hadn't seen in a long, long time. It was great! I am going to have another party in August.

On my 16th birthday I didn't do much. I don't have any real life friends, and I asked for there not to be a party. I believe I programmed on my 16th birthday. Was good as any other birthday I figure.
