What are good things to talk about with other teens? I find it very hard to know what to talk about with other teens, makeup and clothes etc is sooooo boring. Is there any other sort of techniques of conversation that work well????

Talk impersonally about whatever's going on around you, unless it's something you just "dont say".

Usually, I end up gravitating toward any adults in the room, because I can talk to them much more easily. But, when I have to talk to other people my age, like muslimmetalhead, I usually just talk about whatever is going on around me. I also try to look for people who have books or some other interesting thing, because that will give us something to talk about.

I'd say talk about boyfriend/girlfriend stuff, but that's just as boring.

It seems like that's all anyone ever talks about

What interests do you personally have?
Just try to find people who share your intesrests(as hard is that may be) and talk to those people.
Of course, you can always talk to people online about things you enjoy aswell :).

I talk to people about neurodegenerative diseases. If they are not neurologists, they usually quickly become bored.

Well, if you consider them a friend then talk to them about them about something that interests you; a good friend that I know likes my so called 'random facts' because they show my rather quirky personality, and that what she likes about me. With that, you can teach them something new and they might like you more. Although, this could have the opposite effect on them is you talk to much in depth; I've noticed this with another friend of mine, who would get bored very easily...there's a very good chance that she has ADHD, though.
