One of my new friends that I've ha for about a year is having a Halloween party and I desperatly want to go so I can dress up as the character o my special interest my mum is even actually letting me make most of the costume and I've already done some of it.
My problem is a am very, VERY easily scared and I can't watch any scary films at all. I was made to watch the Woman in Black at school and I'm still not quite over it. So I'm scared that if I do go ill be made to watch/ do things that might be too scary for me. I know if it is a sleepover I will make an excuse for not being able to do that because that would be really scary but I don't know if I would be ok if I was only there for a few hours. I've never been to a proper Halloween party before so I don't know, would they waste time watching scary films when they could be doing other stuff instead? I really need to know what to do since tomorrow is my chance to get the final thing I need for my costume and I think I'll deserve it if I spend much of today doing homework as I plan to do. I am still tempted to try and make my bow as well so this needs to be certified soon, I don't want to put myself through fear but I do want to dress up!

If you want to. Just bring some books and sit in another room, or, better still, bring some music (like an iPod, MP3 player) so that you can't hear the scary sound effects.
