I love to memorize medical terms and for some reason I am actually happy when I get a new diagnosis I guess it is because I have a new medical term that I can say I have. In all I have at least ten diagnoses, including I have a history of Henoch schonlein purpura, I have ADHD, Asperger's syndrome, keratosis pilaris, Willis Ekbom Disease ( Restless Legs Symdrome), Allergic rhinitis, obstructive sleep apnea, OCD tendencies, PICA tendencies, GERD, I'm from a premature multiple birth, Pandas tendencies...

I was actually a medical typist for a number of years. Even though I don't go out of my way to memorise specific conditions/terms, I do find it easy to spell them and work out what they mean, especially when considering prefixes etc of a word/term. Because I loved biology at school, I have always taken a keen interest in the way the human body works, not from a 'hypocondriac' viewpoint, but just for the 'beauty' in how it all fits together. As it is another aspect of science, I guess it is not really surprising that we may have such an interest. :)

No, I don't study medical terms, but I do love diagnosing myself and others with conditions!

It's convenient to know a few. Excuses to keep me out of uncomfortable situations.
