That's funny, when I was younger I used to smile for pictures with my front teeth touching too. Actually it was more of a grimace. It took so long before I learned how to fake a smile properly for a picture.
I actually just realized that the "frown" was me smiling when I wasn't happy. If I was caught when I
was happy, then my smile looked real. Else... Yeah. It took me a few years to get the "fake smile" down. Luckily I'm naturally a pretty happy kid, so I didn't need it THAT much.
I actually happen to remember that picture being taken. I remember thinking "wait... I can't get my front and back teeth to touch at the same time? Oh well, front teeth it is." Or something to that effect.
