i still love pokemon... though i think it's gotten outta hand...with all these new pokemon...
i wish it was still just the originals... and it seems that every season, ash's voice changes but he's still 10?

i have a feeling that when they finally end pokemon for good... Pikachu will finally become Raichu.

Pokemon was my childhood, I had the cards, games, I watched the episodes and the movies.

I only liked the first and second generation though, the rest are rubbish.

I was a mild fan from 3rd to 5th generations. Stopped getting the yearly releases B/W.

Working on my Shin Megami Tensei collection now.

Hell yeah Persona FTW b!tches!

Anyways...Pokemon was my LIFE due to being born in end of 96, so I was 2,3,4,5 years old when Pokemon was popular, I envied seeing older kids w/the GSC games when i was in kindergarten but I never thought of buying the games tho I had a GBA since I was like 4-5 years old lol. When Ruby&Sapphire came out, my mom was like NO WAY its $35, so I got a used Red version for $13. Looking back, I should have picked up Crystal or Yellow, though I REALLY loved Charizard when I was 6, so yeah.
End of that year, I got Gold and Yellow(which I lost a someone's house before I finished it)
Next November, I finally had Ruby.
June 05, I got LeafGreen which was MY n***a for a LONG time, from the 6th-9th grade.
August I got Emerald, which I think I finished except for the post-game which was actually the good part...boohoo, then it went between my legs on a seat in a plane. No more Emerald for me.
In late '06, I got XD just because of all the Pokemon I could get from trading between Emerald, Ruby, LG, and the console game...through the console.

I mainly focused on filling LeafGreen's Pokedex in, and getting my stuff in there, because that was my favorite game.

When DP was about to come out, I waited for the online updates &sh@t and counted down to when it was coming out. It finally came out, and after the first few new episodes, I stopped watching it this time.

And then of course, when I got a DS lite and Diamond in Summer 07, after I finished the story, I transferred all my $hit from the GBA/GameCube games into Diamond. My cousin got and still has Pearl and a pink DS(I got a black).
7th grade Pokemon was fun.

I eventually got Platinum too after i lost my Lite and had to get a DSi...but it wasn't THAT wonderful and I lost Platinum as well.

Then when HGSS came out, it was like a miracle to me cuz i loved Gold, but i didn't buy it, i just tuned into the updates lol.

Yeah, so I kinda stayed away from Pokemon after starting high school, never started on B/W, don't really know too much about them, but X&Y look AMAZING. Def will pay attention, may buy.

Anyways...2 years ago, my friend gave me his Game Boy Color w/ Pokemon Silver and Blue. Remember i still have Red and Gold,so basically the only Pokemon games I never really played were Crystal and Sapphire lol.

Mechanics-wise the first is only looked @ as good because it was new idea, but looking back it's awfully clunky.
2nd def. improvement. The whole structure &sh!t gives it the "best PKMN game" legacy.

Yes, Ruby and Sapphire sucked in comparison (and gave the whole franchise a bad taste) as they were kind of a reboot and trying to get on new feet, but it was polished thru FRLG and Emerald, and it was decent by the end of that generation.

Diamond and Pearl (and by extension Platinum)...>RULED. Mechanics and everything are perfected and everything from previous games was polished.2nd only to the 2nd generation.

IDK what happened after that. though I mean if you like gen 2 wouldn't you like HGSS?

I'm still way into Pokemon. My dad's pre-ordered Pokemon X & Y for me, so it makes me really happy. I used to like the anime, but only for a little while. Never succeeded with the TCG stuff though. Too much work (plus I was into Yu-Gi-Oh at the time too).
