What are the sterotypes for your city or state?
I from wisconsin so alot of people think I live in a small town or live on a farm, worship the packers(wisconsin football team),only eat brats, and own a cheese hat.None of which are true. There will however in every city and state be people who fit the sterotype.

I'm in Seattle so we're rain-soaked, Seahawks-loving, coffee-drinking tech heads.

Here in Texas, we are all suave, sophisticated, tall, thin, and ride horses.

With a few exceptions, it is true.

I live in Pennsylvania and people think we cling to guns and religion. But the truth is we are just happy not to be New Jersey.

Where I live there's no much diversity. There are some stereotypes:
-The "villeros". Boys who spend all their time thinking in girls, getting drunk and hitting each other.
-The "negras". Promiscuous girls who shout every time they see a boy.
-The pseudo-nerds. Hypocrite people who think they're the smartest and criticize society and other people like them.
-The "viejas chusmas". Gossipers, old women.
-The "viejos verdes". Old horny men.
-And the "others". The ones who do not match with stereotypes and people think they come from a mental hospital.

I thought everyone in Argentina was too busy dancing the Tango to have stereotypes.

City of Anaheim: We all wear mouse ears and smile while singing "It's a Small World" everywhere we go.

California Republic: Dude, we're all, like, movie stars or we know somebody famous in, like, Hollywood! We also, drink wine and eat, like, tofu and sushi while we're, like, surfing or skiing! There is, like, an earthquake every day and the forests are, like, always on fire! F'rsherr!

My Milwaukee dwelling sister went on a trip to NYC, and was asked if she traveled by tractor.

I Live in Maryland.

Especially in Baltimore, people always think this city is revolving around getting shot, mugged, robbed, etc. (Which is sorta true)
I live in a more suburban part of the city, more on the edge of the city. Still, there are some issues around here.
People also think we love our seafood and take pride in it (Especially Crabs), which is true as well! :D

Northern Pennsylvania is Redneck territory. My father proved this by saying that Wegman's is such a fancy place to be, because they were giving free samples.

In Scotland in the 1640s, the Covenanters rejected rule by bishops, often signing manifestos using their own blood. Some wore red cloth around their neck to signify their position, and were called rednecks by the Scottish ruling class to denote that they were the rebels in what came to be known as The Bishop's War that preceded the rise of Cromwell. Eventually, the term began to mean simply "Presbyterian", especially in communities along the Scottish border. Because of the large number of Scottish immigrants in the pre-revolutionary American south, some historians have suggested that this may be the origin of the term in the United States.
