im actually surprised it hasnt come up before buy that is your opinion on emos?


about 30 of them have turned up in the junior part of my school and it makes me angry because a. they look stupid and b. they think its alternative when there are about as many of them as there are of the other groups

Emo has it's roots in The Who, or so I learned. Thus it is cooler than anything else to come out of the last decade or so.

Can you explain a bit how it relates to The Who?

Emo is love. And emo hair is appropriate.

Goths, Emos, 'Wiggers', Chavs, Townies, Gangstas.....It's a neverending list!

What is it all about? Don't ask me.

I just try to avoid them and let them be. There's only about two or three kids in my school whom can be truely considered emo, and I've never talked to them and they've never talked to me. Then again, they'd probably hate me since I'm considered to be a major prep (although I've seen way preppier people than me at my last school).

They're the most annoying and stupid people in the world. They spend $100 dollars on their ridiculous haircuts and roughly $600 on their stupid Hot Topic outfits and all they do is complain about how terrible the world is. If your parents are willing to give you $700 dollars just so you can look like a total nutsack then I don't think you have anything to complain about.

Then,they want to appear even more artistic (which they are not) so they buy an expensive acoustic guitar and write really bad songs that only utilize one string. Their lyrics are pathetic and uninspired because instead of paying attention in English class they sit in the back of the room and write terrible band names on their folders and notebooks. Women are only attracted to them because they know they can get an emo kid to do virtually anything they want.

When I was in school, I hung out with the people who would be seen as 'emo'. They were really funny and nice.

I haven't met any emo's in real life,so i'm currnetly neutral towards them.

How would you feel if you saw someone with a flashing neon sign that said "PAY ATTENTION TO ME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! !" walk by? Because essentially that's all an emo person is.

I make fun of them quite a bit, mostly because I think emo music is terrible and because it ticks me off that people confuse them with goths so much. The two subcultures aren't really that much alike besides the dark clothing and sense of sadness.

yea i cant really say i dislike them they havent done anything to me in fact i used to like some of them before they turned now i just avoid them

but i just dont see why its seems so attractive, i think there just asking to get picked on, i was actualy hoping some one could explain it to me

and i agree the music is pathetic

Hehe I had to listen to that s**t every Fridaymy old school. But the ones I met are very nice. But some can be very judgmental and automatically not like you if you don't dress like them.

I would just leave them be,for it doesn't concern me,its their business.
