Alright, I've been in this situation more and more often but still don't know exactly what to do. I accomplish something great and in a congratulatory motion somebody (my age--I'm in high school) puts their hand out, but isn't expecting a handshake because his or her hand is always limp... What am I supposed to do?

It's been driving me a tad crazy.

Wait are you the "dead fish" or are they?

Either way, "GRIP AND RIP", be assertive. And if they don't follow suit, crush that filthy paw.

hehe, I like Roller's suggestion...

I think the trouble is that most people just have pansy-ass handshakes. Don't sink to they're level...

Ha! I know I'm on an an Asperger's forum when I'm smiling at everybody's responses.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I'm beginning to worry it might be a heavily localized sort of handshake, so I might have to ask somebody or otherwise figure it out.

A good handshake is universal, as few other things are.

Bonk their fists as an alternative?

is it bad that i looked at the title for this thread about five times before i worked out there was a pun

if its with a localized group it might be some specific form ......... a friend of mine used to do a different combination every time it was rather odd
