Did another dumb thing yesterday. I wish I had a girlfriend so I kissed that didn’t want to be kissed now I think I lost a girl that liked me as a friend.

I did a similar thing back in junior high. I was obsessed with my best friend, so I wrote her a love letter. She was shocked and appalled, and didn't want to be my friend anymore. So yeah, I know how you feel.

In 6th grade, I also wrote a letter to the most popular guy in the class just t tell him how great he was to me. I didn't actually think he would ever like me "in that way"...I just thought he was great ans wanted to say so.
It got passed around the play ground and caused quit a "stir" and it was embarrassing but....the guy was very nice about it(he was a good guy) and wasn't the one passing the note around...someone had taken it from him. Anyway, on the last day of school, he asked me to "skate" with him and it always really touched me that he would do that inspite of his friends making fun of him for it. A couple other NT's also stood up for me when people teased me and stuff...

Point being, there are some nice people out there who will forgive us out "social blunders" if we give them a chance.

Not dumb at all: Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Just explain you are looking for a girlfriend, but understand if she doesn't want it to be her. Take a "you can't blame me for trying" attitude, but assure her it won't happen again.

Here's an advantage of a girl that's dirt poor: just say up front what you're looking for. Anything that even resembles respect is a treat. (kind of like an Aspie, huh?)
