I do the same.

I wish I only had a TA for the lessons I need them for. I mean, the sciences don't need any social interaction with people I don't know, as one of my best friends is in it. I can do french, because no one knows metaphors in french. I can do history, as all you need to do is spurt out facts. You'd think I'd need them for drama, but I don't, as I know what we're doing exactly.
It's quite awkward in lessons with a TA. Especially for the rare day's they aren't there. All the "Where is Sir"'s drive me mental, having to say "dunno" as I don't want them to ask me "why do you have him."
Yeah, I only get a TA in Maths, where I need help, now.
I was trying to hide it before but then I just gave up coz I figured people dont really like me anyway, and they forget about things quickly and move on to the next "funny" thing to make fun of, so I just stopped hiding it.
Once someone saw me in the SEN room and started laughing so I told the teacher in there and they got a letter home and a detention!
These days, people in my class dont have much of a problem with me because:
1) One of the popular kids in there has been my friend since primary school
2) I help them with their computers, iPods etc.
3) I told them sites they could use to bypass the school internet filters (so they can go on any site they want like Bebo etc.)
