Hey, on my most recent vacation on spring break, I met a girl at an airport (my mother started up the conversation and i was totally aghast that she did). Later, she gave me her phone number after arriving at the destination. We talked and talked almost nonstop through spring break week and I even got to hang out with her in person once! She said she thought i was amazing and i was really fond of her after that week. However, now she wont even talk to me, return texts, emails, or phone calls now that school has started again. I have hardly any friends (she only lives like two hours from where i do) and this loss is a huge detriment to my (idk what one would call it) friendship collection (?). Why would she do this? I don't beleive I did anything wrong or conveyed to her that I am AS. : S

Any tips or anything like that?

It might be because she's found friends at her new school to hang around with. Sometimes, this causes people to forget about pen pals.

Try not to take it too personally: I'm willing to bet she meant what she said (about you being 'amazing'), but the inconvenience of meeting up, means that the friendship is too much work when it is possible to make other friends with less effort.

If possible, try to expend the same amount of effort towards people closer to home: you know now that you're capeable of forming friendships!

Back off, let her see that you can "take a hint." She may later change her mind, she may not, but people like to feel they have control over the pace of a relationship, as in being able to slow it down simply by not responding quickly. When you respond back faster, they get worried things aren't even.
