does anyone else on here think that their parents dont let you live that bit more independently? like, i can't even go to the other town that's joined to mine when i'm after things for my guitar by myself.

My mother is the opposite. She lets me do pretty much anything by myself as long as it's not illegal or an obvious danger/health risk.

Depends, since my parents are divorced I have 2 sets of rules. My mom makes me stay with my brother if we're in a crowded area, and it takes quite a bit of arguing to get independence. However my dad will tell me when and where to meet him and let me wander at leisure. At my dad's I can stay out as long as I like, and go pretty much anywhere, as long as I can get up in the morning. My mom will not let me leave the down and bicycle to a neighboring one 5 miles away and makes sure she knows where I am at all times. She even calls me to find out where I am.
