Question for all of the teenagers?
Ok first here's my problem I don't know why, but my parents don't trustel me anymore? I never did anything to break the trust either and when I ask what it was, I then get lectured for the next 10 minutes about this, that, and the other. I no longer can go ok there cputers because they blame any problem that happens after words on me ( and I'm not a geek but I can hack, program, and take CPU's apart and back together it's just one of my skills). So now everytime I ask to do something like nail sethimg up in my room, it becomes a twenty questions game! It ridiculous, not to harsh on NT teens, but when it comes to maturity I am on a lvl of like, 28 old, it ran through my moms side. So I'm half "little proffessor" and "little phylosifer" pardon my spelling. So not to glote, but because I can't go to school I self teach myself every thing, subjectci wouldn't get to do until college level, so when it comes to knowledge I take top place in my house, which ticks my parents of even more!
I don't know how to cope with this, I have some many things I want to do but, Im not allowed to simply because of a number "15" if understand what I mean.
It's like trying to be friends with first graders, when your in 10 grade! Drives me crazy, what do I do??

I can relate with all of this. It seems that NT people think were immature sometimes but they're very immature themselves in what they do. There are a lot of differences but your still compensating something whether your socializing with aspies or NTs.
I've always been the 'little professor' who knew everything, and still to this day when I give a piece of my monologue about the newest topic that I want to share all the facts I memorized of. They always get sick of it and after a while want me to stop talking or they say I'm too smart.
I've been very skilled with computers and have pursued my interests in them since I was very young. I always get blamed for any problems that happen to other peoples computers. Do you mean 'little philosopher'? Oh look, I'm starting to sound like Google.
I'm very mature for my age as well.
Oddly enough, everyone outside of my family thinks i'm very mature, very social and although odd they don't think i'm really odd, honestly I just fake it, I did what my dad does and learn how they speak and act, but not how they think, its like mimicking I guess.
Also my parents don't restrict me much at all, they try, but I usually win ![]()

I'm sorry they treat you like a moron when you're not.
Calmly bring up the subject with them. Just say 'Hey can I talk to you about something?' or some such. Then explain that it bugs you to be treated like that and that you're not going to do anything stupid. Hope that helps...
Mind a word from a parent here? Sorry to barge in ...
Give some thought to how your maturity appears at home. Do you pay attention to and take responsibility for the types of things your parent's find important, even if you don't? Hygiene, homework, schedules, calls, chores, safety, etc.?
"Maturity," as defined by a parent, is about a lot more than having sophisticated interests. It is also about awareness of things around you and how your actions affect not only yourself, but your future, and those around you. A depth of understanding about how life works, so that one is ready to fully take part, independently, in the broader world.
It can be a good conversation to have, actually. Ask your parents WHY they don't see you as ready certain things. There is probably a decent amount of misunderstanding on both sides.
