I'm not sure whether I posted this in the right section but oh well, I AM an adolescent! When I'm outside or in a room with white walls, I see greyish dust-like things kind of floating or sparkling in the air. As a child I used to pretend that it was germs. Maybe my eyes are just screwed up. :( Or does anyone else have this problem?

I THINK I know what you mean. They confuse me, small circular 'things' moving around in front me like shooting stars. Weird.

If you are talking about seeing them in a shaft of light, it's most likely dust in the air, yummy.

It could be floaters as someone suggested. There is also a classification of migraines that cause no pain, but make you see sparkles or rainbows.

this is most likely a normal visual phenomenon.

if it looks like little white spots shooting around then that is actually effects caused by white blood cells passing through the vessels on the retina that you are seeing.

if it looks like microorganisms or cells, this is also a normal phenomenon.

there are tons of possibilities though. some are normal some aren't. if you were interested in finding out what you are experiencing, there is plenty of information on the internet about such things.

I see that too - it's like silver glitter, I also see the 'micro-organisms' phenomenon. For a while, I've always wandered what they were...

Ya thats just floaters every single person has them acutally and almost everyone can see them with the right background and contrcentration but the more you look at them the easier they are to see so try not to do it alot other wise it will get annoying later down the road. I see them myself if im looking at the sky for longer than 30secs to 1 min
