I know other people have much more seious problems, but this still bothers me and I think it would help me to post about this. He is always telling me to go with the flow. He gets annoyed when I change topics in a discussion, he seems to think having obsessions is bad, I feel like whenever he seems to accept me for who I am he is just being this way as an act. Not only that, but he tells me more specifically that decisions other people make have no effect on me and talking about obsessions he seems to think everything is a choice :? I told him his views sounded libertarian, but he got angry at me :? Then when I told him I had to vent he told me I just needed to let go of the problem  . Evene further into the discussion he said he did not want to discuss politics. He is the only person I have to talk to, but it is as if we are coplete opposites. I know there are liertarian aspies, but I have never heard of ones like this.

no it's not about being a libertarian, I do not care about that. Its that he hates libertarians, but gets angry when I point out his views are libertarian.

Politics is just another form of religion, and people don't like to be questioned about their religion -- forces them to try and justify something that is unjustifiable. Creates cognitive dissonance, hurts the brain.

that would makes sense but he bashes libertarians yet follows their views. It makes no sense.

part 2: My dad thinks literally everything is a choice :? I did not choose to be born nor would I choose to die from a nuclear blast. I am confused somewhat about the concept of freewill and do not like to think about it , but this does not make sesne to me at all. On top of this he constantly says he is a socialist, but what socialist believes in free will or choice at least to htep oint he does? :?

Part 3: evertime he tries to give me advice it makes no sense or he always tells me that it is just something I ahve to change. Everything he tells me I need t o change is part of who I am, such as my obsessiviness, need to fidget, and hard time staying on topic. It is part of who I am and if he does not like that is his problem not mine. He goes as far as contradiciting the very idea that biology can have influence on a person. I am guessing my dad is a non aspie, right? Does he accept me for who I am?
