At least twice a week or more I get sensory headaches from to much sensory input! Sometimes I just wake up with them other times its from doing to much in one day. Does anyone esle on the Autism spectrum get these or am I just really werid? Sorry about the spelling, i stink at spelling (laughing)...
Just really fustrating because I want to be able to function like everyone esle and yet I always wind up with really bad headaches...nothing works to get rid of them like meds or ice packs or a dark room...i feel like banging my head against a wall from being in so much pain and being fustrated on top of it....grrrrr.....i hate having autism...i just wish i could be normal and not have to be like this...sorry if i sound angry..im not so much angry just fustrated! :( and really saddened :(

I don't have them anymore, but I still have issues with loud noises.

Every once in a while my Aspie son has a sudden intense headache with vomiting. The last one had him huddled in a ball and moaning.

I've had intense headaches from sensory issues, sufficiently painful enough to leave me in a ball for several days. Fortunately, medication combined with lifestyle management has eliminated the really intense ones, though more mild ones occur if I'm "over-exposed" to light or noise.

I get headaches all the time. I've been diagnosed with cluster headaches and stereotypical migraines--occasionally I'll get streaks of headaches lasting for over two weeks. What helped me was lifestyle changes--avoiding bright lights, loud noises (some frequencies really stink), and stress.

Also seeing a neurologist might help, it sorta helped me.

Headaches with that type of frequency really are frustrating.

I used to get headaches when I was working at Quizno's. They were so painful I wanted to claw out my brain. They would happen every day. I found out the frequency of the flourescent lights was doing something to my hypothalmus gland or something like that. They were called cluster headaches. Since I got fired, I have not had one of those headaches since

I want to function like everyone else, too.

idk about that, but i get sorta bad random headaches occasionally.
and i think my eyes may be a bit sensitive to bright lights.
and god knows what else since i'm not exactly sure what the standard way to feel as far as sensory stuff goes.

I hope this helps. I read that a deficiency of magnesium can cause sensitivity to sight and sound, and cause headaches. Also, a lack of vitamin A can cause sensitivity to sight. Other factors that could influence sensitivities to sight and sound are unhealthy bacteria in the digestive tract that produce proteines, that can be destroid with acidophilus, or getting rid of allergens that interfere with auditory processing. Anyway, these might be some things to look into.
