I apparently have it, and I'm itching like crazy. I'd like to go hang with friends, but I'm afraid my rash will repel them, even though it's not contagious. Plus, I've been tired and worry about falling asleep at the wheel.
I feel like I'm quarranteened(sp?).

I've had that. The good news is you only get it once. The bad news is people do act like you've got leprosy.

It's a virus. The doctor told me it just manifested as a rash instead of a sore throat or a cough. It looks like psoriasis. He also told me once you've had it you won't get it again. But people do have a tendency to peer at you and say eeewww.

Well, the good news so far is that it's not on my face or hands, so if I wear long sleeves, it's practically invisible.
I'm reading about the "Christmas Tree" shaped rash that supposedly appears on one's back. Hasn't happened at this point, and I hope it doesn't.

"Oh, Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree...how itchy are your branches!" :?

I got Pityriasis Rosaea. It actually started as one single spot on my stomach. I thought it was psoriasis....then someone said ringworm. It started to spread in the "christmas tree" pattern and the doctor said it was Pityriasis. I was given oral steroids. This way back in 1999.

What was weird was that a professor of mine got it one week after I did. However, she and I were told that it was not related.

My boyfriend had it last year, I drove him up the bloody wall, it itched so bad he would scrape it with a knife, thankfully it cleared up.
