Had you come to the same conclusion about neurotypicals if you had been going to a forum mostly used by neurotypicals, or if you would've had bad experiences, in real life, with neurotypicals?

Considering that you are leaving, I guess that will be a rhetorical question.

Actually, had Kiran not posted, I never would have known that she existed in the first place.

Because I have realized that aspergers is a disorder and I no longer want to have anything to do with a website that hurts the people afflicted with this disorder by saying that there is nothing wrong with them. It's also hurts the family and friends of those who suffer from aspergers, since sufferers now believe there is nothing wrong with them and do no try to change for the better.

I should however thank WP for two things: 1) Making me realize that aspergers is a disorder, even if it ironically wasn't intentional. 2) Making me realize how foolish it would be to date a man with aspergers. I used to be open to the idea, but WP, along with some experiences in real life, opened my eyes to the potential risks.

Goodbye forever.

Who knows how you came to your conclusions, they are quite judgemental, and also suppose there is some kind of norm in the 'normal NT world'. What do you suppose people on the spectrum should change into, should they just act more like how NT's are thought to act, take brain altering drugs, or work harder at learning 'correct social response'? Self acceptance and embracing who you are is absolutely important, or else you live a lie, the same goes for people who are on the spectrum and people who are not.

How sane is it to do anything with NTs' anyway when the majority are cool with more of the same freaky drugs so they too can seem "normal". I don't think ANYBODY should be gobbling psychoactive anything in pursuit of a goal that hasn't been defined yet.

Disorder implies there's some supreme order inherent in NTs, which a cursory glance at international news suggests is bogus.

Goodbye OP, that wasn't cool of you.

If we want to subdue necrothreads, we need to change the site search filters.

Or people could simply look at the date on the threads before posting. Perhaps a reminder stickied somewhere.

Sometimes, old threads could be more pertinent to a user than any new thread.

Now...this hasn't happened to me....but it's possible.

Much like sacrip previously posted, I've never believed I'm suffering from my ASD. I feel bad for those that perceive they do. Although I feel this board may not be appropriate for everyone on the spectrum as we're all affected differently, I still think that use of "forever" is a form of "emoting", and makes me think of situations in the past where I might have spontaneously said something like, "I'm NEVER going into that store AGAIN", only to resurface in their aisles several months later with a different attitude. For anyone else here who might be feeling the same way as Kiran was, perhaps a term of "indefinite leave of absense" might be a better choice?
Permanent resolutions (and I'll admit I've made quite a few) are only proven successful once we die.

I hope you're not leaving either, I noticed people are leaving of their own accord and that's new but not altogether indifferent, there are plenty of willing tweeters out there. You're one of the few I remember here, and OCD is not an affliction, you're right, but then we shouldn't need branding, just a reshuffle once in a while, at least that's what I like to call it.
Well, if this thread is old, then so am I. :)

It seem that during those four years she didn't came back either, contrary to what some said.

Sometimes users end up returning under different incarnations for various reasons. A good example might be this dude:
