My mom is hiding from me the illness he has and why he's in the hospital, but it's really bad because the terror in my mother's eyes and in my entire family's countenance is signaling something bad. They wont tell me what's going on and they're just telling me ominously to pray he's alright. I've never in my life seen that scared look and hiding some bad news from me by my family since my friend commit suicide a few weeks ago, and I'm becoming really scared that something bad is happening everyone is too afraid to tell me. Right now my parents are in the hospital with my brother and when I asked if I should go they told me that it's better I dont witness certain things and that I spend time in the house praying he's alright.

I just came back from the University when I saw my mom and dad about to leave to the hospital, and as soon as i enter the house everyone there, which btw included visitors and lots of people visiting as if this is severe, acted nervous and their faces conveyed that they were and are hiding something from me. I'm really scared and am not liking where this is going. I genuinely feel scared right now in a way I havent felt in a long time. I dont know what's going on but something tells me this isnt looking good

Prayers and best wishes for your brother and for your family. Is it possible that you just leave where you are, and go to the hospital even when they asked you not to? You must be very worried.

Hugs :(

Thing is I'm a terrible driver and I'm in minnesota where the roads are icy and slippery and its night time which is my worst time to drive, plus the highway to the hospital they are in is one I generally avoid. I could take that risk but if something were to happen that would only make my mom hate me for disobeying her and ending up in a situation that makes all of our lives harder. I wish my parents took me with them but for some reason they're hiding something from me and its terrifying me

Would one of the houseguests drive you, if you insisted?

Short of that, I know myself I would go by Uber if it were available. I understand that this is a horrible situation and you don't know what to do because you don't know what's happening.

I'll send positive thoughts through the night. :(

Maybe you should find a way to go and see him. Maybe your family is trying to protect you because they think its best, but sometimes families can be wrong. It may be better for you to know what is going on, so maybe you could go visit him yourself.

I myself hate when people try to hide things from me, like I can handle it better if I know what is going on in the first place. I recall being younger and well I was friends with my cousins boyfriend...from what I know now the reason he and my cousin broke up was he had harassed someone and it came to light that he was kind of a sicko. But i didn't find out the gravity of it until after I had made a point to hang out with him a few times. At one point I mentioned to my mom that I had hung out with him and she said 'doesn't he have some weird issues' and from that point forward I kind of learned what was going on.

I just feel maybe I should have been told sooner on...what he had done, rather than having it being presented to me as if things just didn't work out between them so they split up...so I felt being I was kinda friends with him just because they broke up didn't mean we couldn't be friends. I didn't know about the creepy stuff he did that made them break up....until after I had hung out with him a few times after the break up. In my mind seems it would have been much simpler if my cousin or sister or whoever knew he turned out to be a creep would have just told me that in the first place. But they were being all hush, hush about the reasons for the break up so I had no clue.

House guests are pissing me off because apparently they were given strict orders by my parents to keep me in the house. Damn it the fact that they're trying this hard to shield me can only mean 1 thing....I dont want to believe it, but I'm praying it's not what my premonition is saying it is. I have a hunch that ever since my friend's suicide my parents are being extra vigilant and going out of their way to make sure a trauma like or similar I never experience again. I'm getting sick and having a horrible feeling about all of this and its driving me mad.

Turns out my brother was shot by the gang. Luckily it was a non-vital area he was shot so he's going to survive (im still not 100% on the exact details of where and how he was shot). While im happy he's going to be alright im disappointed and angry that there are losers with nothing better to do with their lives than join a gang and cause mischief and problems for others. still im glad he's alright. thanks to whoever prayed for him

Thank you for the update and I'm so relieved to hear he's OK.

What do you mean by "the gang" ? Is he in a gang? Does he know a gang?

My nephew and his best friend were stabbed in a random knife attack in 2018. Both have recovered but it was terrifying.

I know how stressed and unsettled you must feel.

Were the perps caught?

(( Hugs to all ))

It is very scary when people won't tell you what is going on. I am so sorry that happened to you. I hope your brother continues to improve and your family can pray together.

My brother was in the same area when the gang tried to target and finish off one of their targets. my brother was in the wrong place at the wrong time and sadly he got caught up in some gang warfare crossfire.

the gang hasn't been caught yet.

Sorry to hear what happened ... that you weren't told the details. Sometimes, the shock of a situation means people don't always do or say what should be done/shared, though their intentions are good. That must have been a terrible shock for you and your family to hear. So glad, your brother will be okay.
