I mean in my bag.

Don't judge me, but I do have an unusual bond with my teddy bear, he's special to me and lives on our bed between mine and my boyfriend's pillows. I've always wanted to be close to my bear when I die, and because Russia is going to nuke the world soon it means that I could die walking down the street or at work, unless he'll do it at night? But at least then I could take my teddy bear with me into death.

I really don't want to die yet, not from a nuclear bomb anyway.

If you'd like and if he'll provide more comfort than anxiety (since you seem pretty anxious about being obviously weird).

I'll bring Noire or sometimes Tutu with me when I'm struggling to keep my s**t together. I don't anticipate you're likely to die next to him in the coming weeks, but I'm sure he'll enjoy the adventure and keep you company.

I wouldn't worry about strategic nuclear release, as Putin isn't going to kill his own people. The only time he'll do such is if Russia is being invaded or something similar. It takes madmen on both sides to get to this point.

As for the question, if it makes you feel better, then yes.

I always have some type of knife on me because I'm very afraid of being bound (often more than one knife too). Maybe irrational, maybe not. It makes me feel better, so I do it. I work within the laws (non-locking folders in society, for example). I can also use them for multiple other things, but that's why I carry them in society.

Whatever helps you.

If bringing your teddy with you would bring you some comfort than I'd say go for it. I don't see anything weird or wrong about it.

If you want to, but be careful not to lose him.

I can lose my tickles if I take them out with me so chose not too, I rub the lining of my coat instead (if I want to rub something).

If it makes you feel better then why not. If you're worried about someone seeing it and thinking you're weird, you could make up a cover story in advance that you'll tell people if they notice the teddy bear and wonder why you're carrying it around. Something like "I'm gonna see my friend's/cousin's/who ever's child after work and play with him/her" or something. One of those white lies that so many people love to tell.

It’s what teddy bears are for. I got one in my 50s. He’s sitting here right next to me now.

On second thoughts, nah. He's safer in my bed at home. Also I feel really autistic if I do that even if no-one sees him. It isn't for comfort or stimming, it's because I'm super scared of WW3 and if I'm going to die I want to die with my bear. That's the only reason.

Why would you want to be neurotypical when they want you hate yourself for being different?

They won't even let nd people have their hobbies and they force you to socialise when you want to be alone with your obsessions.

they also try to make you eat cornflakes with sick in them

I do believe that is a really worst case outcome and one that the world will actively seek to avoid.

I have two teddies and a black and white dog that belonged to my real dog but all are a bit large to carry around. I have a small Snoopy and he's ideal to hug and just the size to be discreet about it!

If any NTs were indeed nosy enough to wonder about your teddy, you could also say it was a Valentine's gift from your boyfriend and is of sentimental value to you...

My teddy bear is 32 years old but literally looks about 72 years old. I don't think anyone would believe me if I told them it was a recent gift from my boyfriend.

I should be giving away all my stuffed animals since I'm won't need them, I have no real emotional attachment to them anymore, and when I'm horribly dying of radiation sickness I doubt they'll bring me much comfort.

You think the world actively wants to avoid nuclear holocaust? Just look how great people worked together when the pandemic started. No denial, no anti-vaxxing, no licking doorknobs or drinking out of bottles of juice in at Walmart while bullying people who wore masks or even washed their hands, at all.

I got a teddy bear a nurse gave me. He’s gotten me through some tough times. I thought I was the only adult that used a therapy bear.

That's a good point. If we hit strategic nuclear release with major powers, it'll definitely be due to the governments of both sides wanting it to happen, because no one wins in this game (citizens don't have much a say in this, albeit governments aren't any smarter overall). Hence, in a reasonable world, it won't happen. Sometimes, it's not reasonable. It "shouldn't" happen even with a single mad dictator as there "shouldn't" be other mad people around him to prosecute said mad orders, and the OPFOR "shouldn't" antagonize and escalate the situation either to provoke the mad dictator and his merry band of madmen. I'll be optimistic about this one though (world leaders aren't all that safe and their bunkers tend to be priority targets in this game, so they're harming themselves all the same). :)

I'm not worried about global nuclear war just yet. I'm sure I'll let it known here when we should probably tell those we love we love them if I start to worry.

I am glad people here understand my attachment to my teddy bear. He's like a best friend and guardian angel and has always been there for me since I was a baby.

My boyfriend is NT but doesn't judge me either. He says a woman with a special bond with a teddy bear means she's honest and innocent and kindhearted.

You're never too old to love a teddy bear!

Teddy bears are dangerous. They kill more people each year than real bears. Don't take it out or it may hurt someone.
