Why am I feeling this way and I'm only in my 30s?

When I have these worries about diseases and illnesses and of dying, it does make me ponder the reason it is happening and what have I got to worry about when I'm just a 30+ year old man. I've never had an experience where I nearly died and ended up in hospital or anything. These thoughts make it seem as though I'm going to die imminently when I am well aware that I am more likely to die in a collision with a car outside my house and that doesn't seem to worry me so how come I get these thoughts ? It scares me seeing my parents and grandparents going through certain types of issues in life. My nan has had in her life several heart bypass operations and is diabetic. My dad, 62, my Nan's son had a mini stroke before 50 and a few months ago after a meal out, he felt dizzy and was sick outside and had to call an ambulance. It's quite scary seeing those things happen.

Death is scary and full of unknowns. I envy those who don't worry about it

feeling that we are inadequate to cope with some situations seems to lead us to think about them a lot in order to be prepared or figure out what we may do to deal with these unexpected things.
