Interesting. I've tried to get therapy locally before but they never got back to me. I trust Anita, my therapist and I'm not bothered if a third party gets info on me tbh. it's no worse than posting your life on Facebook.

If it's working for you mate just get what you can out of it and then cancel your thing

I can't see you getting private therapy for less than you're paying with them

There's always gonna be people with poor reviews and opinions

I would prefer to get therapy through the NHS and my GP but all I get is occasional visits from the mental health team which doesn't help much.

Can't you refer yourself for NHS and just wait on the list

Have a look on the NHS website

Or type in NHS talking therapies and your area on Google and see what comes up

I referred myself but that was about 5 years ago but I can't see how it's changed that much

Just had a look and it's a ridiculously complicated form and at the bottom it says 'not suitable for people with alcohol/drug problems' so it's a non starter really imo.

Just finished another session. Covered a lot including my chatline addiction, debt problems and falling out with my parents and friends.

^ It's disappointing to see something misrepresented as dismissive and callous, where what I'd said was: I am not a trained counsellor and cannot deal with your personal issues with someone who is simply posting to a thread.
I'm sorry, but this is something you'll need to work on yourself.
